Job Summary

Welds together metal components of products such as pipelines, automobiles, boilers, ships, aircraft, and mobile homes with electric arc-welding equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Job Functions, other duties as assigned:
  • Uses air carbon arc gouging (air arc) to remove gating from investment casted pieces.
  • Able to wear a half face respirator underneath a welding hood 60% of your shift.
  • Ability to stand for 90% of your shift.
  • Able to work in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to drive a forklift, or willing to be trained how to drive a forklift.
  • Ability to read, and interpret manufacturing work instructions.
  • Able to comply with all health, safety, and company policies.
  • Chips off excess slag, and splatter from parts using an Engineering hammer, and chisel.
  • Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixture.
  • Ability to cooperate, and work effectively with others.
  • Ability to regularly appear to work.
