Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) has an immediate need for an Supply Chain Coordinator for Wollaston Alloys Inc. in Braintree, MA, to join our team. Wollaston Alloys is a stainless steel and high alloy sand casting foundry that manufactures castings for the military and power generation industries.

Reporting into the Controller, the Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for all vendor management at the Boston facility. This will include sourcing, bidding and negotiating contracts with vendors. The role will also issue purchase orders for goods and services needed by the facility.

Responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for supply chain effectiveness and procurement including sourcing, bidding, negotiating, administering and procuring materials and services
  • Manage and improve supplier efficiency, turnaround time, quality and price of outsourced services including NDT, machining, heat treat, weld and various engineering and calibration services
  • Develop outside service options to relieve bottlenecks in production, increase throughput and reduce cycle time 
  • Gather and review requests for materials and services purchases from user departments, seek approval based on authorization limits, issue purchase orders in company ERP, send purchase orders to suppliers and follow up on timely delivery of materials or services.
  • Manage vendor agreements, including Terms & Conditions, and negotiate pricing. This includes an awareness and understanding of the volume of parts purchased and options for alternative suppliers, liaising with corporate office if required
  • Assess supplier performance regularly using relevant KPIs, feedback from user departments and drive improvements in supplier performance  
  • Ensuring products and services offer consistent quality, reliability, and availability to meet required production volume
  • Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels and reviewing inventory levels for surplus, slow moving, obsolete, and end-of-life materials
  • Setting goals, establishing priorities, managing resources, developing concepts and approaches, reviewing project progress and results, and making appropriate management decisions relating to purchasing procedures
  • Responsible for monitoring and gathering data related to planned cost savings initiatives against actual savings and reporting information to management
  • Improve, simplify, automate and digitize supply chain and procurement processes
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate degree in Business Management, SCM or related field
  • Experience: 5+ years progressive experience in a Supply chain / Procurement role preferably in manufacturing business, foundry or metals industry experience preferred
  • Certifications/Licenses:  None
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situations.
