Perform required duties relating to penetrant processing of product. This is an entry level position with scheduled advancement and growth. Will train for FPI Level I Certification as time allows.

  • Set up and calibrate equipment such as FPI processing line, PSM-5 panels and black lights.
  • Help conduct tests, interpret, evaluate and document data in accordance with codes, standards and other contractual documents.
  • Identify and implement improvement opportunities.

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred; 16 hours of documented formal training in Penetrant Inspection.  130 hours of on-the–job training
  • Certifications/Licenses: none
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Read. Write legibly. Basic math skills. Good written communication skills. Good verbal communication skills. Good problem-solving skills.

  • Working Environment:   Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 
  • Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
  • Safety Glasses:  Needed in all areas of the plant. Rubber gloves.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per department
