Job Summary 
Assist with preparation of shipping records and bills of lading and dray tickets for truck and rail carriers. Prepares records of receipt of incoming material and equipment and posts to open orders of suppliers. Responsible for checking accuracy of shipping documents and verifying receiving receipts with open orders.

Job Duties
  • Prepares bills of lading or dray tickets for each shipment and checks and records all items loaded for shipment.
  • Upon completion of shipment, closes out orders and forwards document to production planning and accounting departments.
  • Assist with updating smart tracking logs.
  • Notifies supervisor or Supply Chain department when major discrepancies occur, over-shipments, major quality discrepancies or substitutions have been made.
  • Assists with Maintenance of other shipping records such as goods returned, returnable pallets, dunnage, packing slips, etc.
  • On received goods, has the ability to check and count all items unloaded, trucks, or trailers. Checks suppliers' count and reports discrepancies to carrier and to purchasing office.
  • Collects information for damage claims on in-transit damage.
  • Places Purchase orders for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Assist with maintaining in/outbound and priority reporting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area to assure proper processing and efficiency.
  • Comply with all quality, supply chain, safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Attendance
  • Ability to work at the Euclid facility.
  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: At least 2 years of Shipping/Receiving experience. At least 1 year of experience with Oracle or other related software is preferred.
