Job Description

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) has openings for Engineering Interns at the City of Industry (COI) site in California. The COI site is an aerospace investment casting foundry. The site manufactures structural castings for applications in commercial and defense aerospace. Interns will be assigned to Product, Process or Quality Engineering and will be assigned a primary project to deliver during the work term. The projects are typically process improvement or cost reduction in nature. The projects are expected to provide interns the opportunity to demonstrate and improve their problem solving, time management, and collaboration skills.
Examples of projects include:
  • Compilation of best practices
  • Fixture design and build
  • Material characterization
  • AS9102 dimensional data reporting
  • Design and build of inspection templates
  • Design of test bar mold
  • Define and complete Gage R&R and Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
Requirements:
  • Working on a BS in Engineering
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience using Minitab, Solidworks, Polyworks or equivalents
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of GD&T principles
