Clean & Cap Operator – CPP Eastlake

CPP is seeking a driven individual to join our team as a Clean & Cap Operator. This position will work on 2nd shift between the hours of (2:00PM – 10:30PM) and will train on 1st shift between the hours of (6:00AM – 2:30PM).

  • Read PEI for instructions.
  • Lift ceramic molds.
  • Inspect molds.
  • Clean molds with air or water.
  • Dye-check molds for cracks.
  • Apply patch materials to molds and shell splits.
  • Apply refractory materials per PEI.
  • Cap and tag molds.
  • Cut patterns for molds.
  • Weigh molds to ensure they conform to PEI.
  • Document work in Oracle to report quality and move transaction.
  • Stage molds on cart per casting schedule.
All positions come with training

  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience: No prior experience required. We Will Train the Right Person
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Read. Write legibly. Basic computer skills. Quality conscious. Safety conscious. Detailed oriented. Sense of urgency.
  • Working Environment: Dusty factory floor
  • Required PPE: Check for required PPE in areas you may be working in
  • Safety Glasses:  Needed in all areas of the plant.
  • Steel toe shoes:  Needed in all areas of the plant.
