JOB DESCRIPTION:  Quality Engineer

The quality engineer works in a cross-functional team environment to further a company objective to exceed customer expectations through continuous monitoring, reducing variation and eliminating nonvalue-added costs of products and processes. Actively promote teamwork, accountability and unquestionable integrity for the betterment of the quality management system.

  • Key contributor and owner of specific sections for the New Product Introduction process
  • Execute NPI actions with support documentation needed to meet required due dates to ensure project is completed on time
  • Perform product and process audits to verify, validate and document current state
  • Quality representative for the Corrective Action Team
  • Schedule and chair CA meetings and execute plan to ensure corrective actions are implemented and verify their effectiveness within established time constraints
  • Perform data mining, formatting and analysis for data to drive process and product improvements within established time limits
  • Review process measures (KPI’s and KPV’s) and determine if corrective actions are needed.
  • Train and assist employees as needed to perform activities in compliance to company operating procedures, instructions and quality management systems requirements
  • Perform final review of products, including documentation and compliance, in support of product shipments

  • B.S. in Engineering or Business Administration, or 3+ years of equivalent work experience in a quality or manufacturing role related to the production of aerospace components
  • Good working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving tools
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Skills with Microsoft Office, Minitab, and ERP software

  • Minimum of 5 years working in a technical manufacturing environment, preferably with Aerospace/AS9100 experience.
  • Experience with chemical manufacturing and/or additive manufacturing.
