Summary:
Onamac Industries is currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team on 1st shift, which is scheduled Monday through Friday at 6:00am to 2:30pm. This role reports to the Estimating Manager at our plant in Everett, Washington and is considered a critical member of the CPP-Everett team, working closely with the team to manufacture aerospace components as per drawing. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
- Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Presents prepared estimate on final bid sheet for final review and approval. This displays all assemblies, numerical and descriptive information.
- Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data into Vista (Quote Entry) and Bid Sheet (Excel Worksheet) under specific part number on F:QuoteSheets.
Other Duties:
- Work with purchasing department in confirming material and standards pricing and lead times.
- Request and confirm pricing and lead times from Vendors for required outside processing
Qualifications:
- Preferred Background 5 years minimum with a background with Lathe and Mill machining, turning experience necessary.
- Fluent understanding in reading and interpreting Blueprints and Parts List
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Excel Worksheets
- Proper and professional etiquette when dealing with Vendors (email & phone calls)
- Detail Oriented
