JOB SUMMARY


This role handles the overall operations of our production facility and is responsible for the duties associated with Alloy: segregation and pre melt preparation. The ideal candidate will utilize their experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and other, and effect short term and long-term business goals.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Sort and inspect revert and virgin alloy using a XRF and visual inspection per instructions.
  • Resize material prior to cleaning per instruction.
  • Organize and maintain revert and virgin alloy per established standards.
  • Understand the periodic table of elements.
  • Ability to use multiple different pieces of equipment: Alloy analyzer, Metal shear, Pangborn, Hydraulic press, Plasma torch, preheat oven, Grinders and Cut off saw.
  • Weigh charge material to ensure appropriate alloy ratios have been achieved.
  • Must be able to use a PC.
  • Should have basic trouble shooting skills.
  • Ability to use fork truck - depth perception required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.


QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Minimum of 1 year tenure in current and previous jobs.
  • Job Related Experience: Prior experience with saws/grinders/welders preferred but not required.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience: Preferred knowledge of Foundry environment and equipment.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Forklift license may be required. Welding is preferred but not required.
