The Sales Account Manager works as a key member of the CPP-Minneapolis Operation team, focused on a select group of customers.  This position interacts with customers, other Account Managers, the corporate Sales team, and the Operations team. The role requires the individual to maintain a high level of focus on customer satisfaction and facilitates cross functional teams to effectively solve customer issues/concerns.

Major Responsibilities
  • Create quotes to customers on repeat and new business
  • Perform contract review process and send purchase order acknowledgments to customers after PO is reviewed and deemed acceptable
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy of price, revision, delivery, duplication, and special instructions and resolve any discrepancies. Enter customer requirements into CPP business system
  • Enforce contract terms with customers, as needed
  • Schedule customer delivery requirements– unless we are changing how we process incoming orders
  • Maintain the order entry system to assure accurate shipping, invoicing, terms and schedule requirements, working within established production planning guidelines
  • Add and maintain Customer information in CPP business system
  • Download customer schedules on a regular basis and maintain corresponding schedules within the CPP business system
  • Coordinate customer returns in a timely manner
  • Work with customer base to upsell product
  • Assist in coordinating customer visits
  • Monitor in process yields to ensure timely response to negative situations
  • Respond to all customer delivery concerns, involving any necessary member of the Executive or Manufacturing teams in order to effectively solve customer problems
  • Maintain applicable reports as needed
  • Populates and manages annual sales forecasts/yearly top line sales projections
  • Keeps up with current & future market trends & platform builds
  • Monitor risk and profit margins at the account level as directed
  • Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures

  • Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent and Bachelors’ Degree in Business or related field required for this position. Candidates with equivalent experience will be considered for the role as well
  • Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing customer service experience with aerospace or casting experience preferred
  • Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with experience in Excel, Access, Word. 
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective communication skills with ability to effectively resolve customer issues in a win- win style.  Ability to remain calm under pressure.  Familiarity with manufacturing processes and nomenclature a plus.
