Consolidated Precision Products, a manufacturer of highly complex aerospace castings is seeking a TIG Welder to join our team in our Cudahy location! Responsibilities
Responsible for performing welding operations to correct various defects.
  • Performs inspection of casting to evaluate area can be welded, upon completion to assure area has been properly fused and maximum weld strength obtained.
  • Prepare casting for repair  and assesses the condition of the castings to determine weld technique.
  • Positions casting(s) to proper work area frequently of light to average weights manually or utilizing hoist/crane for heavy weight material.
  • Places casting(s) manually or utilizing hoist/crane upon completion in proper area(s).
  • Operates and maintains tools and equipment, maintains work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
  • Ability to document weld locations and dimensions.
  • Reports need of maintenance for equipment to supervisor/maintenance
  • Observe all company rules and regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as required or as directed.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience (at least 1 year in manufacturing)
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Weld Test Meets AWS D17.1 with weld thickness
  • Certifications/Licenses: Must successfully complete CPP ISO Procedures: Manufacturing 500, 501 and 502. Obtain and maintain NADCAP certifications on all assigned alloys (stainless steel and Aluminum).
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, simple drawings, procedure manuals and Internal Method Sheets (IMS).
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers and leadership.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Salary Range: $24 - $30 DOE (Overtime Available)

Schedule: Mon-Sat 5:00 AM- 1:30PM
