Qualifications and Education Requirements
•    Practicing Catholic in good standing.
•    Prior experience leading a music ministry.
•    Bachelor's Degree in music or related field is preferred.
•    Working knowledge and experience in Catholic liturgy.
•    Current competency in both organ and piano.


Role and Responsibilities

1.    Provide music for Masses on Sundays (including vigil), Holy Days of Obligation and Sacred Triduum.
2.    Provide music for school Masses, funerals and other special Masses as may occur.
3.    Recruit and train cantors, choir members, and other musicians as needed or desired.
4.     Have first right to funerals, weddings and other special Masses and Liturgies.
5.    Prepare "Liturgy Guides" (worship aids) when needed, keeping copyright requirements.
6.    Facilitate purchase and maintenance of pew missalettes, hymnals and other special worship aids.
7.    Meet regularly with Pastor and other ministers as needed to coordinate liturgies.
8.    Maintain the Liturgical Calendar per Diocesan Office of Worship in accordance with all local and universal church directives.
9.    Support the school in planning and implementing liturgical and related music practices.
10.    Facilitate and guide the maintenance and repair of all musical equipment and sound system(s).
11.    Provide input for annual budget.
12.    As a member of the Pastoral Staff, attend meetings as member and colleague.
