Junior High Mathematics 

A classroom teacher supports student learning, growth and development through classes and duties and also supports and strengthens the mission of Saint Joseph Catholic School, to create a spiritual community of learning that educates and inspires students to reach their God-given potential.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Developing and maintaining a positive, joyful, welcoming, and supportive classroom environment, which supports students’ independent learning, collaboration, and choice. Contributing in a positive way to the school environment.

  • Planning and implementing effective and engaging curriculum, instruction, assessment, and classroom management for an assigned class.

  • Creating lesson plans, aligned with current state and diocesan standards, which drives instruction through assessment and differentiation.

  • Engaging parents and guardians in the education of their children.

  • Professional conduct and adherence to all school and Diocesan policies and procedures.

  • Works cooperatively with colleagues.

  • Fulfilling other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements: 

  • Certified teacher in the state of Indiana as regulated by the State Certification Department. This position is approved for candidates with emergency permits. 

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Registered active Catholic is preferred, but not required.

Start Date:  Contracted for the 2024-2025 school year. Professional Development for this position may be requested from the candidate to ensure optimal success.
