4th/ 5th Grade English/Language Arts and Social Studies Teacher

This is a full-time teaching position.
Licensure in Grades 4-5 andEnglish/Language Arts/Literature and Social Studies

Ideal Candidate will:

Be a part of a vibrant, Catholic, faith-filled educational community.

Utilize the Indiana Academic Standards and our Diocesan Curriculum

Plan and implement differentiated, standards-based lessons for students with a Mild or Moderate Disability as well as students above grade level

Possess strong behavior management skills.

Have the ability to provide effective whole group instruction as well as small group instruction

Possess knowledge of Writer’s Workshop, 6+1 Traits and Reader’s Workshop

Track student progress towards mastery of Indiana Academic Standards

Communicate consistently and professionally with students, parents, staff, & administration

Possess an active Indiana teaching license, Emergency Permit, or be working toward licensing

Participate in diocesan and school improvement goals including professional development.

Foster the spiritual development of students.

Work collaboratively with other members of our teaching staff to create cross curricular units

Complete other duties as assigned by the principal
