The SHS Instructional Assistant reports to the SHS Classroom Teacher and is responsible for advancing students’ academic, spiritual, social & emotional development. To successfully do this, the Instructional Assistant will need to build outstanding relationships with students, faculty & staff. Largely, this will be done both in the regular education classroom setting working with a small group of students or meeting with small groups of students in a resource room setting. Another essential duty is the preparation of classroom materials as directed by the SHS Classroom Teacher. An additional responsibility could be some lunch or recess supervision.
The SHS Instructional Assistant would work primarily at Sacred Heart School. The SHS Instructional Assistant duties would generally take place between the hours of 8:00 am - 3:15 pm Monday through Friday. Total working hours per week would be approximately 25 - 29 hours per week to start, though hours could change based on enrollment and need.
Qualifications
The optimal candidate will be one who can effectively communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with students and educators. Candidates should have a high school diploma. All persons hired regardless of position are subject to the FWSB Diocesan background check & Safe Environment processes.
CompensationThe starting hourly rate is $13.00 per hour but is subject to change based on duties & experience of the candidate. There are no health insurance benefits associated with this position.
