The Director of Annual Giving and Constituent Relations is responsible for the overall implementation and success of The Fund for Saint Joseph, and will develop and implement annual giving strategies to achieve both short- and long-term participation and fundraising goals. This position is charged with creating programs and events designed to strategically identify and cultivate all constituencies in meaningful ways that transition into engaged volunteers and donors, and creates a sustainable and growing tradition of annual philanthropic support. The Director effectively uses, analyzes and leverages data to develop and implement effective programs and to analyze results. The Director supports and strengthens the mission of Saint Joseph High School to transform students in heart and mind, preparing them to serve God, the Church, and the world. 

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive annual giving program, including marketing plans, appeals, and campaigns that utilize a variety of communication channels (e.g. web, direct mail, email, social media) and reach all key constituent groups;
  • Build sustainable and positive professional relationships with constituents;
  • Analyze programs and produce regular reports on fundraising progress for school leadership;
  • Direct annual solicitation for the senior class;
  • Work collaboratively to accurately pull and report data through segmentation, querying, importing and exporting utilizing the DonorPerfect database;
  • Coordinate annual fund solicitation strategies for prospects, participate in moves management processes and assist in identifying major gift prospects;
  • Jointly manage parent and volunteer efforts related to The Fund for Saint Joseph, including volunteer identification, recruitment, training and stewardship;
  • Oversee the acknowledgement, stewardship, and recognition of annual fund donors (including first time, consecutive, and leadership donors) in ways that facilitate donor retention and upgrade;
  • Partner in the creation and production of an Annual Report of Philanthropy;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal or the Director of Mission Advancement.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Previous fundraising experience required; 
  • Experience working in a Catholic and/or educational setting preferred.

Organizational Structure:
The Director of Annual Giving and Constituent Relations reports to the Director of Mission Advancement and works closely with the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, the Advancement Coordinator, the Alumni Coordinator, the Director of Admissions, and the Principal. The Director occasionally works with the Mission Advancement Committee of the School Board.
