As the Mechanical Assembler, some of your responsibilities will include assembling fabricated parts at floor stations, and testing and calibrating parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. This position will report to the Shop Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assembling the mechanical components of front and rear panels, chassis, housings, cabinets, enclosures, and large mechanical assemblies
- Responsible for assembling precision electro-mechanical equipment for hydraulic, fit mechanical parts together into housings, and aligns these parts to insure the smooth operation of the mechanical assembly
- May be responsible for installing interconnect wiring and assemblies into enclosures
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools and simple measuring devices
- Works to well-defined documentation, which clearly identifies the mechanical assembly process
- Clean and maintain warehouse equipment daily
- Adhere to scheduling requirements to complete tasks on time
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments to be carried out in a timely manner
- Relies on experiences and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in mechanical or automation, required
Education/Experience:
- HS diploma or equivalent
