The Principal Engineer with design moderate to complex electrical and electronic circuits for electromechanical systems and enclosures relating to the VME/TCA/VPX and ComExpress architecture based product lines. Additionally, you will perform R&D work to provide the building blocks and system level solutions leveraging emerging technologies in the areas of embedded computing including AI. The Principal Engineer will serve as SME for all aspects of Electrical Engineering to generate detailed specifications, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to provide optimum solutions to meet customer requirements as well as provide technical guidance to subordinate Engineers.

Principal Engineer Responsibilities:
- Exercise professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of complex engineering problems in creative, innovative, yet practical ways
- Identify, review, and analyze in detail customer requirements and develop comprehensive and optimum electronic circuit design solutions for embedded and edge computing applications
- Generate detailed PCB schematics and diagrams for prototype board designs and assume overall responsibility for assigned electronic board projects
- Collaborate with PCB designers on board layout and oversee the successful implementation of the designs while ensuring compliance to high speed constraints, DFM and cost
- Interface effectively with customers and vendors during product development phase
- Coordinate the design and design review meeting with design engineers, customers and applications engineers
- Provide sustaining support for repeat orders
- Assist the sales department with electrical issues for prototype builds
- Provide technical guidance to less senior engineers and PCB designers
Education and Experience:
- BSEE required. MSEE preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 10 - 15 years' related work experience
- Proficiency in CAD tools like Altium Designer (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications such as word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Soft skills to communicate professionally and tactfully
