Your Solution Partner.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join our team in Fremont, CA. Our ideal candidate will have experience performing incoming, in-process and/or final inspection of backplanes and various incoming components while using engineering drawing and manufacture specification datasheets.
Responsibilities:
- Familiar with soldering acceptance. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 solder inspection helpful.
- Being able to determine defects found on bare printed circuit boards and assembly backplanes and writing rejection reports.
- Knowledge of ESD requirements while working with assembly backplanes.
- Working on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instruction on new assignments.
- Experience working in ISO 9001 or AS9100-certified electronics-manufacturing environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Perform PCBA visual inspection to IPC-A-610 (latest revision) Class3 workmanship criteria.
- Perform mechanical and visual inspection of in-process and finished backplanes.
- Perform measurements with industry standard measuring tools like calipers etc.
- Perform data entry into QA database including pertinent information from the travelers of the documentation package.
- Performs any combination of following tasks to inspect new and repaired printed circuit boards: Inserts plug gauges into drilled holes of PCB panels to verify conformance to specified dimensions.
- Inspection of conformal coating.
- Examines PCB circuitry to detect defects, such as shorts, breaks, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, and incorrect layout, using light table, eye loupe, magnifier, or microscope.
- Scan vendor Pos and completed documentation packages to online files and file in boxes for storage.
- Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) inspection
- Knowledge of electronic component handling and soldering
- Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to interpret and utilize blueprints and engineering drawings
- Excellent vision capabilities, and ability to work with metric dimensions.
- Familiar with various measuring devices (Height gauge, calipers, micrometer, pin gauges)
- Detail oriented, analytical problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of inspection sampling plans (ISO 2859, Mil Std 105)
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Minimum 3 years related experience as a quality inspector in an electronic manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED, required
