We have an excellent opportunity for a Material Planner/Scheduler to join our team in Fremont, California. Our ideal candidate will have experience planning and scheduling shop production orders to meet delivery dates and work by the master schedules. As Production Planner/Scheduler, this individual will be responsible for identifying any capacity constraints and providing input/suggestions to Manufacturing Manager in the event of shortages or other potential schedule interruptions. This position will report to the Sr. Planning Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the planning of production and release of work orders to meet delivery dates, and in accordance with the master schedules
  • Works alongside programmers to ensure routings are created prior to releasing work orders
  • Works closely and meets weekly with planning leadership ensuring shop level work orders scheduling is aligned with the master schedules
  • Provides input and updates when shortages or other potential schedule interruptions occur
  • Compiles and releases documentation packages
  • Conducts periodic follow up on materials
  • Provides estimated ship dates to Sales team and provides feedback on a regular basis
  • Verifies material transaction accuracy and periodic closing of completed work orders
  • Identifies and flags shortages
  • Follows up to ensure commit dates are maintained
  • Provides backup to other production planners if needed
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualities:
  • Computer literate
  • Will be required to use professional concepts an company policies and procedures to solve moderately complex problems in creative and effective ways
  • Will work on moderately complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors
  • Excellent command of MRP system
  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and capacity planning
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interface with various departments like Sales, Materials, and Engineering
Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 7-10 years working in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited university of college, or 7 years equivalent experience directly related to productions planning/scheduling
Target Compensation: $76,000.00 - $96,000.00, dependent upon experience
