We have an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Fremont, CA. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of manufacturing activities that include, but are not limited to
Testing & Failure Analysis, identifying Test instrumentation needs as they comes up. Provide tactical support to manufacturing team in daily operations. Work as needed with relevant engineering personnel to test prototype projects. Analyze data and identify improvements. May be assigned production planning activities on special projects as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop assembly and test procedures, process maps, and work instructions to improve quality and efficiency on the production floor.
  • Identify needs for developing test fixtures for I/O cabling.
  • Work closely with Sr Engineer – Cabling and I/O cable engineer
  • Communicate within Manufacturing departments and test/ apps engineers on various orders that are processed in Systems assembly
  • Train others using written work instructions for manufacturing & Test processes.
  • Provide failure analysis of systems & PCB boards.
  • Assume leadership responsibility for projects and drive actions to improve processes
  • Prepare manufacturing & general data analysis.
  • Offer and communicate your ideas with other departments.
  • Demonstrate experience in leading continuous improvements in production processes using ISO Quality Management principles and methodologies.
  • Involved in root cause analysis and corrective actions as it relates to process defects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualities:
  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings & schematics
  • Ability to apply electrical engineering knowledge to trouble shoot problems in systems
  • Very good analytical ability
  • Good knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes and materials
  • Experience in creating process documentation
  • Computer literate with good expertise in MS office
  • Able to work with the ERP system and PLM system
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about production quality metrics
  • Experience working with ESD sensitive components
Education:
  • BS in electrical engineering with 6-8 years of experience in a similar position or 8-10 years work experience as a Manufacturing engineer in a directly related product line/ industry
Target Compensation: $105,000.00 -$125,000.00
