We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Lawrenceville, GA. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for designing industrial and military cabinet enclosures for up to very complex customer driven systems according to design requests outlined by sales and customer specifications. This includes 3D-model layouts, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, documentations. 

Requirements:
 
  • Team Player and self-motivated and excellent communication skills
  • Creative problem solver, capable of thinking outside the box to overcome design challenges and create innovative solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal, machining, and other fabrication techniques, capable of creating complex components
  • Highly skilled in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, with expertise in Pro/ENGINEER Parametric and PTC Direct Modeling
  • Knowledge of Windchill Database Software
  • Familiarity with military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-901)
  • Knowledge in electronics packaging (cabinets and enclosures EIA Standard)
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Responsible for creating 3D-models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs and administrational work to release to production.
  • Communications with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and customers
  • Ability to design mechanical components and assemblies, from concept through detailed engineering, addressing functionality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Good understanding of BOM structures and BOM management.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure robust definition of component parts and assemblies.
  • Knowledge of EMI, thermal simulation, and structural analysis a plus
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in D-365
  • Leadership skills to lead a team

Education:
  • BBS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 6 - 8+ years in mechanical engineering
