We have an excellent opportunity for a Production Controller to join our team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for providing and managing the workflow direction of production orders to ensure smooth, continuous operations. This position involves working very closely with the planners, warehouse, fabrication, and assembly shop.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and monitor operation workflow direction, as well as material movement in production cycles to ensure continuous operations
  • Responsible for running a smooth and efficient production flow
  • Track and control part flow to and from external services, such as painting, plating and sub-contracting to complement the operation workflow process
  • Support lean flow initiatives in the factory, such as maintaining daily visual controls to ensure planned buffers are maintained to feed production
  • Work alongside the Production Manager and Planner/Scheduler to facilitate any changes to the overall master plan and operation flow if needed
  • Lead periodic meetings with operations team to ensure their adherence to workflow, including ERP transactional activities
  • Provide input/suggestions in the event of shortages or other potential schedule interruptions
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualities:
  • Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and culture of attention to detail
  • Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, capacity planning, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, be flexible, be resourceful and maintain enthusiasm and focus under demands of a fast paced, multi-cultural, and often changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Computer literate with experience in MS Office, specifically MS Excel and other database programs
  • Ability to effectively interface with various departments like Sales, Warehouse, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Good understanding of MRP system and functions capabilities

Preferred Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited university of college, or equivalent of 4 years minimum experience directly related to productions planning/scheduling in a manufacturing environment
