Your Solution Partner.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Solderer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for Responsible for performing solder operations for standard and custom backplanes.
Responsibilities:
- Read and follow documentation and assembly drawings and perform operations as described
- Perform quality self-inspection of all completed work
- Perform connector and hardware repair on backplanes that require rework and/or modification
- Perform all other duties as assigned by lead or manager
Requirements:
- Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
- Normally receives general instructions on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments.
- Familiarity with use of soldering hand tools and soldering re-work equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and assemble backplanes per ELMA documentation
- Ability to recognize documentation and manufacturing discrepancies
- Knowledge of standard soldering practices and procedures
- Knowledge of standard hardware (i.e. screws, nuts, washers)
- Ability to communicate well with managers and co-workers
- Ability to read and/or work from mechanical drawings with detailed instructions
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Requires minimum 5+ years of solder experience preferably in an electronic manufacturing environment
