The Institute for Family Development (IFD) is an internationally recognized leader in providing services that keep children safe, strengthen families, and reduce out of home placement. Founded in 1982, we provide a range of in-home Evidence Based Programs including HOMEBUILDERS®, Parent-Child Interaction Training (PCIT), Project SafeCare, Triple P: Positive Parenting Program(Triple P), Promoting First Relationships (PFR), Project Safecare and Functional Family Therapy (FFT).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING TO HIRE
We are looking for therapists / counselors who have been trained in, or who are interested in being trained in Evidence Based Programs such as, Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Parent Child Interaction Training (PCIT), Project SafeCare, Triple P: Positive Parenting Program, and/or Promoting First Relationships (PFR ). 

Our therapists:
  • Maintain small caseloads, providing the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of high-risk children and families.
  • Provide a range of clinical, advocacy, and concrete services tailored to each family.
  • Work with families in their homes and, when applicable, community settings.
  • Schedule client sessions at times that are convenient for families, and at times family members most need our help and support.

Competitive Compensation
  • Master’s degree: $55,978– $60,456 annual starting salary, DOE
  • Bachelor’s degree: $50,890 – $54,961 annual  starting salary, DOE
  • Paid mileage and paid travel time
  • Bilingual salary add-on for some language (5% increase, add-on based on language(s) spoken and service area needs)
  • Sign on bonus!
  • This is a non-exempt position qualifiable for overtime compensation.

HOW TO JOIN OUR TEAM
Minimum Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field; OR undergraduate degree in social work, psychology, human services or related field and at least two years’ experience working with children and families.
  • Valid driver’s license, a vehicle in good working condition, and automobile liability insurance that meets minimum agency requirements.
  • Must reside in Kitsap or Pierce County, WA
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs (including some evenings, weekends and holidays).
  • Satisfactory completion of a criminal history background check.
  • At least 21 years of age.
