The Institute for Family Development (IFD) is an internationally recognized leader in providing services that keep children safe, strengthen families, and reduce out of home placement. Founded in 1982, we provide a range of in-home Evidence Based Programs including HOMEBUILDERS®, Parent-Child Interaction Training (PCIT), Project SafeCare, Triple P: Positive Parenting Program(Triple P), Promoting First Relationships (PFR), Project Safecare and Functional Family Therapy (FFT).

Social justice is a foundational value of our organization. We are fully committed to creating an anti-racist, equitable and inclusive agency culture where all staff thrive. To reach this goal we are committed to workforce equity. Equitable recruitment, support, and retention is how we will obtain the most diverse, highest quality workforce that shares and helps us advance our mission and values.

We are looking for therapists / counselors who have been trained in, or who are interested in being trained in Evidence Based Programs such as, Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Parent Child Interaction Training (PCIT), Project SafeCare, Triple P: Positive Parenting Program, and/or Promoting First Relationships (PFR ).

Our therapists:

  • Provide a range of clinical, advocacy, and concrete services tailored to each family.
  • Work with families in their homes and, when applicable, community settings.
  • Schedule client sessions at times that are convenient for families, and at times family members most need our help and support.

We provide a supportive team environment; excellent clinical supervision; licensure supervision for LISCW, LMFT and LMHC; and comprehensive training in one or more Evidence Based Programs.
