Event staff play a critical role in ensuring the correct and efficient management of events in both public and corporate settings. The primary duties of an event staff worker include tasks such as: setting up tables and chairs, vacuuming carpet, cleaning glass doors, and working cash registers. The role of an event staff worker can vary as certain events require more planning.
           
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
  • The Event Staff report directly to the Event Planner/Coordinator.
  • The Event staff also work closely with the General Manager of the Wellness Center as well as other BBHS employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNT ABILITIES:
  • Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with others and has strong interpersonal skills.
  • An event staff employee will be supervised by an event manager who will assign roles such as:
    • Setting up for an event as well as breaking down after an event.
    • Returning the next day to clean up and reset for the next event.
    • In addition to job roles, event staff will likely be on their feet for the duration of an event and need a certain level of energy and enthusiasm to succeed.
    • Event staff members work together and individually to ensure the proper execution of an event. This includes tasks such as preparing the event location, setting up and clearing out materials from the location, and ensuring cleanliness after the event has conclude
    • Event staff members are expected to have good communication and teamwork skills as well as professionalism and attention to detail.
    • If hired to work before an event, responsibilities could include setting up for an outside event or even making sure ground areas are ready for events.
    • Setting up necessary chairs and tables for events
    • Being responsible for facilitating seating organization
    • Being assigned various tasks by the event manager
    • Facilitating the proper organization and cleanliness of venue
    • Upholding any necessary safety precautions
    • Serving food and drinks to attendees at the concession stand
    • Providing relevant information to event attendees
