This is a temporary, time limited grant-funded position for the Texans Recovering Together Crisis Counseling Program (CCP).

The CCP Community Liaison/Resource Linkage Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of services to include outreach services such as going out into local communities to educate the community, physicians, educators and other agencies about available services and resources through the Texans Recovering Together Crisis Counseling Program.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Deploy out into the communities and identifying persons impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic;
  • Provide specific information throughout the communities regarding services available through the Texans Recovering Together Crisis Counseling Programs;
  • Collaborate with other community service agencies, volunteers and community partners to provide behavioral health resources to identified persons impacted by the pandemic;
  • Assist in planning community meetings in order to advertise services available;
  • Assist Project Manager in collecting and analyzing data and reporting data to the state;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of trauma informed theories, principles and practices (including the concept of community trauma as well as individual trauma);
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of case management, community outreach and social service work;
  • Skill in using personal computer application software such as, Excel, Word and Outlook;
  • Ability to multitask;
  • Ability to communicate effectively;
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-orientated environment.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Experience in case management and community outreach preferred.  Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major coursework in social services or related field is generally preferred.  At a minimum graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent.

Special Requirements:  
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.  Must be able to travel extensively, work in extreme heat, cold, humid and/or wet conditions and walk for considerable distances while out in the community.

Hours:
Ability to work hours other than Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 5:00 to accomplish program objectives and grant deliverables.

Salary:
$34,008.00.00/$16.35
