Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network strives to develop and equip all staff with Trauma-Informed Care knowledge and competency-based skills. Trauma-Informed Care means treating the person as a whole, taking into account past trauma and the resulting coping mechanisms when attempting to understand behaviors. Child and Adolescent Case Managers (QMHP) provides evaluation, consultation and intervention with youth and families. Also participates in conducting psychosocial programming with this population as part of a clinical team composed of Mental Health staff, school personnel and other community providers in an effort to meet therapeutic goals.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
  • Works with youth and their families in mental health, home or office settings.
  • Provides case management and some skills training with children and families.
  • Makes assessment and psychosocial evaluations and recommendations.
  • Refers families of clients to appropriate social welfare and health agencies to obtain assistance.
Salary: $45,000-$49,500 for Bachelors level / $48,150-$52,965 for Masters level DOE

Depending on location a regional stipend of $5000 will be added
