The Skills Trainer will Provide clinically appropriate individual, group and/or family skills training services to individuals and families meeting agency admission criteria. Must average 50% direct client contact time as reflected on management reports. Conduct CANS assessments, develop individualized recovery plans and conduct treatment reviews every 90 days. Complete all documentation in an accurate and timely manner including treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other relevant documents. Liaison with relevant local and state agencies in order to link clients with needed services.

- Interviews clients, their relatives, and other interested individuals and agencies to obtain social and developmental histories to discover social/psychological problems.
- Provides clinically appropriate individual, group and/or family skills training services to individuals and families.
- Conducts CANS assessments and participates and/or facilitates the development and monitoring of treatment plans.
- Participates as a team member in conferences designed for the diagnosis and treatment of clients.
- May supervise other volunteers, and students.
- Acts as liaison between all appropriate agencies, physicians, relatives of clients and community resources for purposes of admission, treatment and discharge planning.
- Increases knowledge of Psychotherapeutic and social work concepts by attendance at work related outside conferences and seminars whenever possible.
- Performs related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent written communication and computer keyboarding for inputting clinical documentation
- Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers
- Time management required to meet service goals
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and keyboarding for prolonged periods
- Ability to be CPR and PMAB certified
- Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field Required.
- License LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC-I Preferred
- Experience working with Child/Adolescent population in mental health Preferred
Hours: M-F 8AM-5PM
Salary: $35,000-$41,195 Annual for Bachelor's, Master's, LPC-I DOE
Salary: $52,000 Annually for LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPHA
