Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network- Crisis Counselor (LPHA Intern) (Waco, TX)

Licensed Caseworkers for the CTC work with the crisis team to maintain a therapeutic environment for clients under 24-hour care. Duties include performing crisis and substance abuse counseling, developing plans for treatment and discharge, and providing individual and group therapy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent written communication and computer keyboarding for inputting clinical documentation
Excellent verbal communication with clients, staff, and community providers
Time management required to meet service goals
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, and keyboarding for prolonged periods
Ability to be CPR and SAMA certified
Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required

Education and Experience

Master's in social work, psychology or related field with ability to obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional credentialing
License LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LPC-I, LMSW Preferred
Experience providing crisis services per DSHS standards preferred

Hours: 8AM-8PM Alternating 12 hour shifts

Salary: $41,866-54,249 Annual

Location: 301 Londonderry Waco, TX
