Medication Coordination Technician works to include receiving and reconciling medication shipments, answering phone calls, waiting on the pick-up window, scanning documents into SmartCare and other duties related to medication coordination support.  This position provides administrative and clinical support work including some direct clients contact unique to area/program within the agency.  Application of advanced knowledge and independent judgement in the implementation, application and monitoring of complex rules and standard and the assurance of compliance with them.

Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions

  • Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terms
  • Maintains files and records for an organizational unit
  • Back-up duties for provider scheduling
  • Skill in written communication for clinical documentation
  • Effective verbal communication and telephone skills
  • Skill in computer skills and ability to learn various programs
  • Must display excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding for prolonged periods and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to be CPR and PMAB certified
  • Performs related work as assigned
  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience work experience in related field and knowledge of prescription terminology and psychiatric medications is Preferred

Hours: 8AM-5PM M-F

Salary: $31,241.60 Annual Salary
