Knowledgeable in office procedures and administrative support work. Work involves typing letters, memoranda and reports; maintaining routine files; and assembling and organizing materials used by staff in completing work assignments. Will work closely with Juvenile Justice Program Director to help assist in daily reporting, monthly invoices, preparing for audits, etc. The person in this position will be responsible for a number of functions that directly affect the Center for Developmental Services’ (CDS) adherence to a contract with Health and Human Services (HHSC) policy and procedures. This position requires extensive work provider representatives and private providers.  A working knowledge of all available services, supports, and resource options in the community for people with IDD is essential.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

 

  • Transmits material to proper authorizing officials.
  • Maintains and works with files of a confidential nature.
  • Utilizes a computer for data entry and client identification.
  • Completes Reporting and Invoices
  • Assist with preparation for audits, reviews, scheduling and attending required meetings, etc.
  • Coordinates with Division Directors and Office Manager as needed.


Knowledge, Skills, and Essential Functions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with clients, employees, and external agencies
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and fax/scan/copy
  • Prepares vouchers and purchase orders for supplies, for case workers, etc.
  • Develops, coordinates, and maintain record keeping system.
  • Must display excellent organizational skills and time management
  • 10% local travel
  • Stooping, bending, sitting, standing, keyboarding for prolonged periods and lifting 30 pounds
  • Ability to be PMAB and CPR certified
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and ability export reports to excel
  • Valid driver's license, liability insurance, and reliable transportation required
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of administrative and clerical experience is required

Hours: 8AM-5PM M-F

Salary: $31,200 annually/$15.00 hourly
