Under the supervision of the AMH Supervisor II, a Caseworker I Lead performs assigned human service activities in the community mental health center and community at large. Specifically, this worker provides recovery-oriented case management services to adult mental health consumers and complies with company, state and federal regulations and requirements. This individual also works in a supervisory role including management of the county office and supervision of the administrative professional and additional case worker.
Experience and Training:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service-related field (e.g. social work, educational counseling, gerontology, psychology, or sociology
- One year of casework experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through training and competency evaluations for employment in this position.
- Prefer 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- General knowledge of mental illness, rehabilitative skills training methods and knowledge of community resources.
- Ability to conduct interviews and report results of the interview.
- Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other professional groups, businesses, employment agencies, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats of communication.
- Ability to meet grant/contract timeframes and obligations and to organize and prioritize work related tasks.
- Ability to learn about and implement trauma-informed care practices within the scope of work for the position.
- Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of the job duties.
- Must be able to successfully participate, perform, and complete the skills required for CPR, First Aid, and PMAB certification.
- Local travel 25% Regional travel 25% and must be able to transport clients.
- Ability to administer medications.
- Must be able to lift up to 15lbs.
- Supervisory duties include: manages program area, develops policy/procedures, manages budget, hires/trains staff, participates in performance evaluations.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Salary: $45,000-$52,965 Depending on Education and Experience plus
Lead stipend $2,500 Regional stipend $5,000
