Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Clinical Services performs assigned therapy and skills training services.


EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:
  • Provides assessment, diagnosis and treatment with consumers identified for services at the community outpatient clinic who do not qualify for traditional community center services based on not having a targeted qualifying diagnosis (i.e. Bi-Polar Disorder, Major Depression or Schizophrenia).
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of treatment modalities which will benefit the individual consumer.
  • Possesses skills to document clinical services provided in a timely manner no later than 24 hours following consumer interaction.
  • Participates as a team member on the collaborative team designed for the diagnosis and treatment of consumers.
  • Participates in the interpretation of methods and procedures to agencies responsible for carrying out recommendations of the clinic.
  • May supervise other therapists, volunteers, and students.
  • Acts as liaison between all appropriate agencies, physicians, and community resources for purposes of admission, treatment and discharge planning.
  • May participate in budget planning, unit administration, and program development.
  • Increase knowledge of therapy concepts by attendance at work related outside conferences and seminars whenever possible.
  • HOT BEHAVIORAL HEALTH NETWORK provides services in accordance with trauma informed care guidelines, which include cultural sensitivity and emphasizes a safe and respectful environment for all consumers and staff.  Experience and/or training in these principles and in trauma treatment is valued.
  • HOTBHN shall have a workforce competent in the recognition of and provision of suicide safe care for all consumers in line with national best practices to promote life.
  • Performs related work as required and assigned.
Experience:
Must have a valid Texas driver's license and current and continued proof of automobile liability insurance.
Education:
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or related field required.  Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PSYD or Psychologist or be eligible to complete necessary requirements to obtain licensure.  Applicants must be able to obtain credentialing as a Qualified Mental Health Professional through training and competency evaluations within 30 days of employment to be able to maintain employment in this position.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and practices of therapy and the functioning of social service or treatment facility community resources and how to use them effectively. 
  • Ability to learn about and implement trauma-informed care practices within the scope of work for the position. 
  • Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of the job duties and ability to maintain regular attendance as set forth in Center policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to perform skills required for CPR, First Aid and PMAB certification including but not limited to lift or support 30 lbs., ability to kneel on either knee, or stand from a kneeling position. 
  • Must be able to travel, locally 5%.
  • Must have excellent verbal/written skills; excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work well and engage well with a team.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

Salary: $48,150-$64,000 annually *depending on Licensure*
