JJTT Case Manager provides evaluation, consultation and intervention with youth and families within the 5 rural service areas.  Also participates in conducting psychosocial programming with this population as part of a clinical team composed of Juvenile Probation, Mental Health staff, school personnel and other community providers in an effort to meet therapeutic goals and reduce the recidivism of high-risk youth within the Juvenile Justice System.


EXAMPLE OF WORK PERFORMED

 
  • Works with youth and young adults in mental health, home, or office settings.
  • Provides case management and some skills training with children and families.
  • Make assessment and psychosocial evaluations and recommendations.
  • Refers families of consumers to appropriate social welfare and health agencies to obtain assistance as needed.
  • Performs related work as required.
Experience:
Must have a current valid Texas driver's license and current and continued proof of liability insurance.
One year case management experience preferred.
Bilingual preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge, assessment, and diagnostic evaluations of emotional problems and treatment approaches. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with consumers and colleagues. 
  • Good work habits and organizational skills as well as time management skills. 
  • Familiarity with computer operation; Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Ability to learn about and implement trauma-informed care practices within the scope of work for the position. 
  • Must have and maintain a level of general health that permits the performance of the job duties and ability to maintain regular attendance as set forth in Center policies and procedures.    
  • Level of general health permitting stooping, bending, lift up to 30lbs, climbing stairs and participating in moderately active recreational activities. 
  • Physical ability to perform CPR, First Aid and PMAB skills.
  • Ability to transport clients and travel locally 5% and regionally 50% of the time.
  • Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to do clinical documentation accurately and timely.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with possible variations

Salary:  $45,000-$52,965 **Depending on experience and education
