Performs administrative support and technical program work for the Medication Services/Medication Coordination units. Work involves disseminating information, maintaining systems, coordinating between various agency units, and performing internal administrative support work. Works under close supervision but must be able to make independent judgement regarding scheduling.

 EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
  • Prepares and disseminates information concerning agency programs and services.
  • Maintains records and files.
  • Maintains cancellation list for Medication Services unit and coordinates earlier appointments as needed.
  • Assists in planning meetings, conferences, and seminars.
  • Assists in compiling data for charts, graphs, databases, summaries, or reports.
  • Assists with general office duties such as ordering supplies, performing basic bookkeeping work, and completing purchase orders and vouchers.
  • Provides assistance answering phone calls, routing incoming calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, and directing visitors to the appropriate staff.
  • Will be responsible for flow of the medical clinic and all scheduling of client psychiatric appointments and EKG appointments.
  • Will complete lab orders and complete vouchers for lab services.
  • Will provide back-up to the medication coordination unit.
  • Coordinates training for the Medication Services staff including blocking training time and office space.
  • Performs related work as assigned.

Experience and Education
Experience in clerical or administrative support work. One year’s work in medical field is preferred. Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is required. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.
  • Skill in the use of standard office equipment and software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Hours: 8AM-5PM M-F

Salary: $35,360 annually/$17.0000 hourly
