 What You Will Do

The Director of Quality is directly responsible for our world class Quality department. At Korry the quality team supports all aspects of the product lifecycle from new hardware and software product development to the internal manufacturing and assembly of our products.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Create, measure, communicate, and drive group performance to meet the quality and teams objectives
  • Ensure the organization maintains a robust internal audit, corrective action system, and a robust supplier quality assurance and corrective action system
  • Maintenance of ISO and AS9100 Certification and assessment interface with 3rd party Registrar
  • Interface with Customers on quality issues
  • Reduce the cost of poor quality
  • Foster and environment in which all employees are responsible for quality
  • Review and assure compliance with contractual requirements and regulatory requirements
  • Identification and implementation of road maps for continuous improvement
  • Provides expert guidance to the Senior Staff
  • Think and Act like an owner, lead daily operations, and ensure quality goals are met
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
  • Promote a team environment and develop direct reports and teams through mentoring
  • Responsible for hiring, training, motivation, counseling of employees
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, other related degree or equivalent experience 
  • Prior Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience preferred 
  • Prior management experience 
  • 5+ years of focused quality work preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data and change outcomes
  • Bias for action and self-motivated problem solver
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, act tactically with the strength of character to motivate others to buy into ideas, concepts and values.
  • Desire to lead and grow as a leader
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer interface skills

Salary Range
Please note the typical hiring range is $170,000 - $195,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
