 What You Will Do

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will lead without direct authority, influencing teams to achieve goals and drive tasks to completion. You will bring your passion for quality, understanding that anything worth doing is worth doing right! Your role will involve using data to drive action and solve problems while working to understand the business as a whole.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve quality performance.
  • Lead teams and drive tasks to closure.
  • Ensure that materials, equipment, processes, and products meet our strict quality specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional peers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Ensure that processes and products comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate root causes to permanently resolve product and production issues.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Represent Quality in early-phase new product introduction projects.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of related experience in a highly regulated industry (preferred)
  • Aviation/Aerospace industry knowledge and expertise is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and related quality systems
  • Experience with control of Nonconforming Material (MRB) and First Articles (FAI)
  • Experience initiating and leading corrective and preventative actions, including the application of tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC to develop effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems, considering various outcomes and trade-offs.
  • Strong independent thinking with an open, objective mindset.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Working knowledge of statistical methods as applied to testing (e.g., Gage R&R, DOE, etc.).
  • Experience with failure/root cause/corrective action processes (5 Why, RCA, CAPA, 8D).
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with effective communication ability.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within and outside your own work group.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $115,000 - $150,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
