Morningside Marketing Manager and Adventure Coordinator (Charlestown, NH)
Job Summary
This position will serve as the primary on-site marketing / sales / reservations / retail/ zipline and office manager for Morningside Flight Park in Charlestown New Hampshire. The primary function of this position is to promote and capture business through a variety of outreach and contact with the local, regional and national customer base and be the point person for all adventure reservations and activities at Morningside. Additionally, this position will be responsible for overseeing the sale of retail goods in the pro shop. With this position, you will be required to become familiar and ultimately market the multiple adventures at the Flight Park including but not limited to: Hang Gliding, Paragliding, Powered Paragliding, Zip-line Tours, Laser-Tag, Fishing, Camping, Facility and Events. This role will be on-site in New Hampshire with some travel for promotion and presentation. Training will be provided for reservations system, company orientation, park procedures and guide training if applicable. Full time with travel as necessary.

Physical Requirements
About 1/3 of one's time will be spent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling and ziplining. One-third to two-thirds of one's time will be spent standing, walking, sitting, and reaching. About 2/3 of one's time will be spent using one's hands to finger, handle or feel, as well as talking or hearing. Expect to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis. Vision required: close, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Some other physical demands come from continuous computer work, cash register work, sales floor work, events work, and mail order work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain customer base for the Flight Park.
- Maintain the flight park phone system
- Answer phone, follow up and categorize calls and inquiries and close sales
- Answer all inquiries (phone, email, social media, in person)
- Maintain the email and social media accounts to capture 100% of all inquiries.
- Place cold call inquiries, follow leads, develop and make presentations off site
- Develop and execute a group sales plan.
- Organize Morningside invoices for customers and businesses
- Work with Kitty Hawk Marketing and Sales team in North Carolina to work within and utilize the corporate marketing strategy.
- Spearhead group sales initiatives
- Staff the Adventure Desk and coordinate all Adventure reservations with appropriate guides
- Provide first point of contact with guests and establish expectations and appropriate orientations
- Maintain Waiver and Adventure documentation, overseeing and filing them accordingly
- Maintain a point of sale for retail goods and coordinate retail items with management and the warehouse
- Maintain, merchandise and manage retail space and inventory.
- Provide retail assistance to guests and order retail products from Kitty Hawk Kites
- Open/close retail area and open/close POS system
- Maintain retail inventory and ordering schedules
- Stay updated on current and forecasted weather and hill conditions.
- Coordinate reservations and current student programs daily with instructors and guides.
- Call or email students as necessary to maintain accurate reservations database
- Assign guides to guests and maintain an informed schedule with guides, instructors, and shuttle drivers
- Guide tours
- Perform maintenance and general upkeep of ropes, course, and equipment.
- Coordinate inspections and trainings following ACCT standards
- Work with Flight Director and Manager to maintain efficient and quality guest flow and up to date reservations system
- Provide quality control and spot checks of guide interaction to maintain an ongoing assessment of safety, quality, education, and fun
- Attend meetings as required
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and retail area
- Fulfill any duties assigned by the Flight Director or Manager
- Ensure proper stowage and lockdown of equipment and retail area
- Other duties assigned by Morningside Management
Education, & Experience
- Previous sales experience preferred
- CRM software experience preferred
- Proficient at Microsoft Suite
- Good phone skills & able to sell on phone
- Good organization skills
- Detail oriented
- Comfortable with multitasking
- Strong and current social media skills and the ability to manage an account such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
- Quality customer service skills and an attitude commensurate with the role of making an excellent first impression
- Must be willing and able to build strong relationships with customers
- Must be a team player
- Previous ropes training a plus but not a must
Working Conditions
- The work environment for this position is generally an indoor controlled environment. Noise level is moderate; expect noises like office machines and light traffic.
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company’s in-season time period.
- May be requested to drive company vehicle to other locations.
