As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Technician/Shop Foreman to join our team. 

Position Overview: As an Automotive Technician/Shop Foreman at Legacy Dodge Claresholm, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our service department. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards of quality and safety. Additionally, you will oversee the daily activities of our service team, providing leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to ensure that all work is completed accurately and efficiently. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair: 

• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to identify issues with vehicles. 

• Perform repairs and maintenance on various makes and models of cars and trucks, including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension systems. 

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices. 

1. Shop Management: 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation. 

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. 

• Monitor technician productivity and efficiency, providing coaching and feedback as needed to optimize performance. 

1. Team Leadership: 

• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic at all times. 

• Provide technical guidance and support to service technicians, assisting with complex repairs and troubleshooting as required. 

• Foster a positive team culture, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. 

1. Customer Service: 

• Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner, explaining repair recommendations and answering any questions they may have. 

• Address customer concerns and complaints promptly, striving to achieve complete satisfaction with every service visit. 

• Work closely with service advisors to ensure clear communication and efficient service delivery. 

Qualifications: 

• Red Seal Certification or equivalent qualification as a Journeyman Automotive Technician. 

• Significant experience in automotive repair, with a strong background in diagnostics and troubleshooting. 

• Proven leadership skills, with previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred. 

• Excellent technical knowledge and proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members. 

• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and accuracy. 

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
