Quality Inspector II (Indianapolis, IN)

• Complete in-process and final inspection
  • Use a CMM to check precision machined parts
  • Use manual gages to check rods, rectangles, and other simple shapes
  • Verify the press process by visually inspecting for laminated layers
  • Visually inspect furnaced pieces for blisters, contaminants, over-cooked, or under-cooked parts
• Help operators with inspection best practices
• Troubleshooting of the CMM to prevent production downtime
• Stamp, label, and wrap product to customer requirements
• Follow relevant MTTM procedures and the MTTM Quality Policy
• Adhere to all Safety Policies established by MTTM
• Complete additional duties as assigned by MTTM management

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or inspection environment
• Enthusiasm to learn new skills and inspection requirements
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills to work with Operators and Supervisors
• Ability to stay on task and add value independently with minimal supervision

• 3+ years of inspection experience
• Previous experience running a CMM

• Physical Requirements:
• Satisfy and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Tungsten material is heavy and lifting or flipping components does happen on a weekly basis. Lifting above 50 lbs. is supported by cranes and other lifts.
• Communicate effectively.
