Shift Differential:
Monday-Thursday (6pm to 6am) - $1.00 per hour worked
Friday 4pm to Saturday 4am - $3.00 per hour worked
Saturday (4am to 4pm) - $2.00 per hour worked
Saturday (4pm to 4am) - $3.00 per hour worked
Sunday 4am to Monday 6am - $2.00 per hour worked
POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform as a working supervisor and is responsible for supervising the various Gaming Maintenance positions to include Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (M.E.P.) Specialty Trades and Grounds Keeping ensuring all maintenance needs of the Gaming Division are met.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver excellent customer service and establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external customers of the Oneida Casino at all times, in all activities. Develop solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as a priority.
- Supervise staff to include hiring, disciplining, completing annual and probationary evaluations, monitoring time and attendance reports, coordinate the roles and responsibilities for the general motivation of the Maintenance Department staff.
- Develop measurable performance expectations for assigned staff according to departmental goals and objectives.
- Create and monitor various Maintenance work schedules for staff and maintain staffing levels.
- Plan, schedule and conduct staff meetings on a regular basis.
- Prioritize and assign duties to staff and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
- Oversee various maintenance projects to include project coordination, contract process, communication, and scheduling with other departments and vendors. Complete final inspections to ensure projects are completed according to work specifications.
- Work cooperatively with (M.E.P.) Specialty Trades and Grounds Keeping to ensure assigned Maintenance and applicable Casino equipment is in good operating condition.
- Operate lawnmowers, lifts, and other maintenance equipment as needed.
- Develop and schedule preventive Maintenance inspections and programs for equipment and buildings for Gaming Division.
- Develop and maintain a library of service and repair manuals for Maintenance equipment and applicable equipment utilized by the Casino.
- Ensure external grounds keeping and maintenance duties are being performed to include snow removal from Gaming Division parking lots and sidewalks.
- Monitor the maintenance and maintenance logs of all Gaming facilities at all locations.
- Purchase supplies/equipment using Tribal and Departmental accounting practices and procedures.
- Establish and maintain an inventory of maintenance equipment and supplies.
- Recommend to Facilities Director the purchase of equipment, tools, and supplies needed with the ability to justify recommendations.
- Assist the Facilities Director in short and long term planning in relation to major projects and property improvements.
- Key Watcher duties: Complete all job duties for the Key Watcher system such as inventory, processing edit requests; running reports, trouble shoot system components, as well as provide training.
- Develop, evaluate, and review Maintenance processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Implement and participate in staff development and training.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.).
- Participate in coordination of facility projects (e.g., renovations).
- Knowledge of materials, methods, practices, and equipment used in building maintenance.
- Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, database, and communication software programs in a Windows environment.
- Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures with minimum direction.
- Ability to plan, organize and schedule priorities efficiently and effectively, meet strict deadlines and successfully cope with challenging situations and conditions.
- Evaluates problematic systems or facilities and determines the installation or repair services that need to be performed.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.

- Ability to obtain Lift equipment certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to include all shifts, weekends, holidays, and an on-call basis.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- High School Diploma, HSED Diploma or GED Certification; applicants age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Five (5) years previous maintenance experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and carry up to fifty (50) pounds. Repetitive movement of both hands.
- Occasionally climb heights, reach above shoulders, crouch, kneel, balance, push/pull, lift seventy-five (75) to one hundred (100) pounds with assistance, and ride in a lift that will require working with above ground heights up to fifty (50) feet.
- Use of protective clothing and/or equipment.
- Work is generally performed in an office setting with a moderate noise level. Situations where safety-toe shoes, safety goggles, gloves, protective face shields, or hardhats are needed may arise. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Work environment may NOT be smoke, noise, or dust free. Use of protective clothing and/or equipment.
- A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment and annually thereafter.
