After successful completion of the probationary period, employee will receive off probation wage increase.
Shift Differential:
Monday-Thursday (6pm to 6am) + $1.00 per hour worked
Friday 4pm to Saturday 4am + $3.00 per hour worked
Saturday (4am to 4pm) + $2.00 per hour worked
Saturday (4pm to 4am) + $3.00 per hour worked
Sunday 4am to Monday 6am + $2.00 per hour worked
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide security and surveillance services for all Gaming Division buildings, parking lots, grounds and units according to established security policies and procedures
- Patrol buildings, parking lots, and grounds to assure for a safe and secure environment and prevent damage and/or loss of Tribal, employee or guest property.
- Transport paperwork to and from various gaming locations and/or tribal entities.
- Perform all lobby duties, verify age of patrons, open doors, check suspicious packages, and identify intoxicated patrons.
- Verify fills, jackpot winnings and credits for accuracy, transport money, chips, tokens and markers.
- Control access to restricted areas; check for and report all safety hazards.
- Assist patrons with vehicle lockouts, lost and found and safety issues.
- Ensure employees adhere to all gaming policies and procedures; report any violations.
- Control emergency situations, which may include resetting alarms, evacuation and/or shutdown of building.
- Conduct initial investigations by interviewing and obtaining written statements from customers/employees, complete a thorough and accurate report in a timely manner.
- Complete and verify gaming paperwork, departmental logs, reports, and parking violations.
- Work with Internal Security computers using job specific software such as CIMS, Micro Soft Word, and OnBase.
- Assist in training and development of newly hired staff.
- Assist with escorting employees, customers, or vendors to proper authorized areas of the Oneida Casino, Irene Moore Activity Center, Mason Street Casino, various One Stop locations, and other designated Tribal entities.
- Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required.
- Must be in uniform while on duty and follow Internal Security Department Dress Code.
- Knowledge of security operations, principles and practices including investigation, patrol, communications, records, community/public relations, and crime prevention.
- Knowledge of general computer applications.
- Knowledge of all gaming procedures and operations.
- General Knowledge of Title 31.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other law enforcement/regulatory agencies, departmental staff, tribal officials, and the public.
- Skill in dealing with the public and providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Ability to prepare accurate, complete, and legible reports and present detailed, accurate and objective oral presentations and response to questions.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to make intelligent and effective decisions in routine and emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to become certified in Child Abuse and Neglect within ninety (90) days of employment.
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations professionally with tack and competence (Assessments will be conducted during training period.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be eighteen (18) year of age or older.
- High School Diploma, HSED Diploma, or GED Certification is required within one (1) year of employment. Applicants age fifty (50) and older are exempt from this requirement.
- One (1) year of security experience; and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must successfully complete the following Training programs within a timeline approved by the supervisor: (Employment is contingent upon successfully completing all required training.)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequently stand, walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
- Occasionally sit, climb, balance, lift seventy-five (75) pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Work is generally performed indoors where employee may have frequent contact with the public and be exposed to moderate/high noise levels, dirt, dust, unpleasant odors and second-hand smoke. Prolonged standing and walking may be required between buildings and other areas; situations may occur where there is exposure to hazards and/or physical risks and outside weather conditions.
- Must be able to work swing shifts to include evenings, holidays, and weekends.
- Officers assigned to any non-gaming location will be required to adhere to the employee immunization requirements.
