Pathways Inc.- Youth/Adult Peer Support Specialist (Louisa, KY)

Salary: $32,000

Educational Requirements: High School Education or equivalent

Duties/Responsibilities:
The YPSS will be responsible for the provision of individual and group support to youth and young adults, serve as a role model for clients by sharing own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies. YPSS will advocate on behalf of consumers and inform supervisor of issues/concerns related to individual consumers.

Skills/Knowledge:

YPSS must be a consumer of mental health services (lived experience).
Experience collaborating with interagency teams.
Must complete and pass the Kentucky Youth Peer Specialist training.

Be or become knowledgeable in System of Care, care planning, Wraparound, cultural competence and evidence-based practices in mental health and adolescent substance abuse.
