The YPSS will be responsible for the provision of individual and group support to youth and young adults, serve as a role model for clients by sharing own recovery process and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies. YPSS will advocate on behalf of consumers and inform supervisor of issues/concerns related to individual consumers.

- Experience collaborating with interagency teams.
- Must complete and pass the Kentucky Youth Peer Specialist training.
- Be or become knowledgeable in System of Care, care planning, Wraparound, cultural competence and evidence-based practices in mental health and adolescent substance abuse.
