Salary –  $36,000 - $39,000
 
Educational Requirements: BA degree in human services field. A working knowledge of the Twelve Step recovery process is necessary. As stated above, this person must possess and practice qualities consistent with established practice standards.

Duties/Responsibilities: This position observes direct care to consumers in the Crisis or Residential Recovery Units. The staff wors to ensure safe withdrawal, and therapeutic engagement of addiction meeting the client where they are in recovery; handle telephone contacts for referrals; observe staff while they check proper admit and discharge of consumers along with necessary paperwork; process chart work; facilitate groups and individual therapy.  The staff is responsible for the production of client charts. Staff will help establish vocation, knowledge of health and STD risks, and establish recreation for consumers including transport of clients at times.  Staff will lead consults with families and outside providers at client request.  This person will be able to demonstrate and consistently practice competency in the skills, knowledge and attitudes as outlined in addiction Counseling Competencies: The knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes of Professional Practice.
 
Experience Required: Requires organizational skills, as well as knowledge and skills in coordination of client care.  An understanding and application of The Principles of Effective Treatment are necessary to function in this role. Must also retain knowledge of the ASAM criteria and services necessary at their level of care.
