Educational Requirements: High School diploma or GED required. College Degree preferred. Ability to attain the following: First Aid, CPR and Food Handlers License Certification. Recovery Dynamics Certification.
Duties/Responsibilities: Provides 24 hour center coverage in a Peer-Led, Peer-Driven Social Model Program by monitoring the SOS and MT dorm. Is the after regular business hour staff coverage. Collaborates with other staff in program development and client consultation. Provides mentoring, feedback and education to all clients in working with other members of the management team.
Required Experience: Ability to work with persons in a manner that shows sensitivity to cultural diversity, sexual orientation and racial / ethnic differences. If in recovery must have maintained a minimum of continuous sobriety for two years.
Work Schedule: A full time SOS associate is expected to work 40 hours a week and a part time SOS Associate is expected to work 32 hours a week as part of residential services. Extra hours may be required to expedite the duties of the position.
