Salary - $32,500 - $35,000
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certification/License Requirement: Peer Support Specialist Certification
Duties/Responsibilities: The Peer Support Specialist will provide community based, on-scene social and emotional support, advocacy and consumer information to (individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis). These activities are planned and implemented through a partnership between the participant and the treatment team members. These activities are provided to support individuals to live their own lives and to direct their own recovery and wellness process.
Experience Required: A self-identified consumer of Mental health Services diagnosed with a mental illness or substance abuse disorder; attend Peer Support Training; have an understanding of the recovery process and how to use that process to help others. History of working crisis or residential Preferred.
