Position Summary:

The Community-Based Mobile Response Associate provides immediate, on-site emotional support, advocacy, and information to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises. Services are delivered in community settings with a strong focus on person-centered care and de-escalation.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to behavioral health crises in the community as part of a mobile response team

  • Provide emotional support, crisis intervention, and advocacy to individuals in distress

  • Assist in connecting individuals to appropriate behavioral health resources and services

  • Support individuals in navigating the recovery process and developing coping strategies

  • Document services provided and participate in follow-up as needed

  • Collaborate with clinicians, emergency responders, and other team members to ensure continuity of care


Required Skills & Experience:
  • Basic understanding of mental health and substance use challenges

  • Knowledge of the behavioral health recovery process and how to use that framework to support others

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to remain calm and supportive in high-stress situations

  • Flexibility to work in a community-based, fast-paced environment

  • Prior experience in a peer support, crisis response, or behavioral health role is a plus
