Salary Range: $32,500

Certification/License Requirements:

  • Certification as a Peer Support Specialist through a state-approved training program (or ability to obtain prior to hire with agency support)

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Demonstrated one-year period of wellness, defined as:

    • Lack of symptoms or behavioral health hospitalization

    • Medication compliance

    • Active engagement in the recovery process

  • Completion of DBHDID-sanctioned 30-hour PSS training (Pathways will provide re-training if not already completed)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide Peer Support Services by:

    • Sharing lived experience to support and inspire recovery

    • Advocating for individuals in recovery

    • Sharing resources and teaching skill-building strategies

    • Facilitating peer sessions, mentoring, and setting recovery goals with assigned consumers

    • Helping build supportive relationships and community connections

  • Adhere to all Pathways policies, procedures, and state regulations, including 908 KAR 2:220

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements:

  • Experience working with the population for which the employee has lived experience (Substance Use Disorder and/or Mental Health)

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to change and maintain professional boundaries

  • Commitment to providing services consistent with Kentucky regulations and Pathways policies
